Steel Frame Picnic Tables

Our most popular picnic table is the Gerber S16 8 foot galvanized frame. We recommend purchasing your lumber locally using five each 2x10's for the benches and table top. Buy number #2 select or #1 pressure treated lumber for best results. Always select the kiln dried after treatment lumber (KDAT), it cost more but this table will last for twenty years, so don’t scrimp. It helps if you rout around the seat boards with a ¼” round over router bit. Makes the seat more comfortable for the little ones and safer should they hit their head on the seat. The design of these table frames help prevent tripping. Tools needed are; a drill with a socket attachment a tape measure and a pair of pliers. Galvanized lag bolts are furnished to bolt the lumber on from the bottom so no bolt heads can get hot in the sun and burn your quest.
